தேசீய தேர்தல் 2014 இந்தியாவுக்கு ஒரு திருப்புமுனை என்பதை விட திருகிய முனை என்று சொல்வது சாலத்தகும். 81.4 கோடி வாக்காளர்களில் 55.1 கோடி வாக்காளர்கள். 66.38 விழுக்காடு வாக்களித்தனர்.. கடந்த தேர்தலை விட 13.4 விழுக்காடு அதிகமான வாக்காளர்களில், இளைய சமுதாயம் கணிசமாக உளர். தேர்தல் கமிஷன் திறம்பட நிர்வகித்தது பற்றி உலகம் பாராட்டுகிறது. செம்மையான நிர்வாகத்தலைமை இருந்தால், அரசு ஊழியர்கள் உருப்படும் வகையில் இயங்குவர் என்பதை, அரசியலர் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் இருந்தபோது நெறியில் தவறியவர்கள் என கருதப்படும் அதே ஊழியர்கள் நிரூபித்துவிட்டனர் என்பது ஒரு பாடம்.
எல்லா கட்சியினரும் விதிமுறைகளை மீறுவதில், துட்டு கொடுப்பதில், வசை பாடுவதில் ஆர்வத்துடன் ஈடுபட்டனர் என்றால் மிகையாகாது. பிரதிநிதித்துவ ஜனநாயகம் இன்றும் கானல் நீர் தான். கதவோரம் ஒளிந்திருந்த கருத்துக் கணிப்பாளர்கள், ஒருமுகமாக, திருகிய முனை பாட்டுப்பாடுகிறார்கள். தற்காலம், வருங்கால பிரதமராக பெரிதும் பேசப்படும் திரு. நரேந்திர மோடி,
‘நான் அரசு இயந்திரத்தை நல்லதொரு நிர்வாகியாக இயக்குவேன்; நாடு சுயநம்பிக்கையை தொலைத்து விட்டது; தேக்கத்தில் அமுங்கி விட்டது; உந்துதல் சக்தியுடன் அதை உசுப்பி விட்டால், நடக்கவேண்டியவை தானே நடக்கும்.’

Gandhi’s letter accusing his son of rape to be auctioned

Gandhi SmritiMahatma Gandhi and his eldest son Harilal had troubled relationship between them throughout their life.
Three explosive letters that highlight Mahatma Gandhi’s deep concerns over the behaviour of his eldest son, Harilal, will go under the hammer at an auction in England next week.
Mullock’s Auctioneers based in Shropshire county are hoping to fetch between £50,000 and £60,000 for a set of three letters written by the Father of the Nation in June 1935.
“You should know that your problem has become much more difficult for me even then our national freedom,” says Gandhiji in one of the letters in reference to allegations of inappropriate behaviour by Harilal.
“Manu is telling me number of dangerous things about you. She says that you had raped her before eight years and she was so much hurt that medical treatment was also to be taken,” the letter reads, in reference to Harilal’s daughter Manu who had come to stay with her grandfather at Sabarmati Ashram.
“The letters are written in Gujarati and are in good condition. These have come via descent from a branch of Gandhi’s family to the present vendor. As far as we are aware they have never before been seen in public and as such they provide remarkable new information on the troubled relationship Gandhi had with his son,” Mullock’s said in a statement.
“Please let me have pure truth please tell me if still you are interested in alcohol and debauchery. I wish that you better die rather than resort to alcohol in any manner,” adds another autographed letter.
Harilal Gandhi had wanted to go to England to study and become a barrister like his father but Gandhiji had firmly opposed this believing a Western education would not be helpful in the struggle against British Raj.
This led to Harilal renouncing all family ties in 1911 and his troubled relationship with his father continued throughout his life.
The series of letters is part of Mullock’s Historical Documents Sale at Ludlow Racecourse on May 22.
It also includes another set of 27 autographed letters to Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit, the sister of Jawaharlal Nehru, some written by Gandhiji when he was imprisoned.
“Women have done more work than us. Even so much remains to be done. The modern world has as yet seen the like of India’s woman power. I am convinced they will go much further ahead and I will be very surprised if you do not play a very big part in this,” reads a letter dated November 11, 1930.
The earliest letters date back to 1920 but others are from the 1930s and the majority dating from the crucial period of 1938-1944 in the Indian national movement.
Some of the other Gandhi-related lots to go under the hammer include portraits, signed postcards and a wooden ’charkha’ expected to fetch as much as £80,000.

NOSTRADAMUS AND 2014 ELECTIONS
Michel de Nostredame, one of the world’s most famous authors of prophecies, was born in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in the south of France in December 1503. His family was originally Jewish, but had converted to Catholicism during the previous century. Nothing is known about his childhood, but at the age of fifteen he entered the University of Avignon to study for his baccalaureate. After little more than a year he was forced by the Plague to leave again. In 1529, after some years as an apothecary, he entered the University of Montpellier to study for a doctorate in medicine, and created a “rose pill” that was widely believed to protect against the plague. He is most famous for his book “Les Propheties”, which consists of rhymed quatrains (4-line poems) grouped into sets of 100, called Centuries. Nostradamus is credited with predicting the French Revolution, the atom bomb, the rise of Adolf Hitler and the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
Recently, French scholar Bamprelle de la Rochefoucault uncovered in an old trunk which had been sold for two francs in 1876 to an antics dealer of Bordeaux, a document written in Latin which he has attributed to Nostradamus. Curiously, there are two full pages, which deal at length with India, particularly with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the forthcoming general elections.
We are giving here the first words in Latin, along with a rough translation in English.
Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus veni grandus est vingtus unus centurus – Congressus oublium est …”
The Bharatiya Janata Party will come to dominate India in the 21st century, as the Congress, will slowly sink.
“Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus veni grandus est para Indus cognisant Indica tum est… ” The BJP will represent the aspirations of the Hindus, the overwhelming majority of India.
He goes on to explain who are the Hindus: “Indus terrum nostrum grandus homo manus onum unus familium planetum est. Indicus pax pacis terra est ferrum tempus…” They will be the most tolerant people, even in the Age of Iron, because they will still accept that God may manifest Himself at different times under different names, using different scriptures. Hence all persecuted people throughout the ages, will always found refuge in India, where they will practice their religion in peace.
Then Nostradamus makes his first prediction: “Indus cursum est trahisum nostrum est… Politicum Bharatus Indicus trahisum est…” But the curse of the Hindus will always be disunity and they will betray each other to the enemy again and again.
Next, another prophecy: “Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus tri pillarus est, Vajpayum, Advanum persistum est et Narendrum Modum. Vajpayum emergum est…” The BJP will have three pillars: AB Vajpayee, LK Advani and Narendra Modi. Eventually, Vajpayee will no longer have an active life, Advani will persist and Narendra Modi will be emerging.
He goes on: Narendrum Modum supremus chefum, ironus manus est et economicum grandum est…” Narendra Modi will raise himself as a national figure, not only because he is an iron man, but also because he has made of his state a model of economic efficiency.
Then comes another forecast, which Nostradamus may have got wrong: “Duo millenum novo treizus, Jesus Christum postum, Advanum racontum narrates est Narendrum Modum grandus princeps est et Modum dux ducis rector est, sixtum legatus est…” If Mr Advani were to announce in 2013 that Narendra Modi will be the BJP’s, Prime Ministerial candidate, the BJP will win the elections.
Nostradamus is not done: “Congressus, corruptianum est,duo millennium terzus tombum est”. “The Congress Government will be riddled with so many corruption scandals, that it may fall before 2014”
And, he goes on: “Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus prnonuncio Ramum templum et Christanium consto est et gurum defendo est, kashmirum macto est…” The BJP will also make it known that it will build the Ram Mandir, protect temples, stop conversions and keep Kashmir for India.
Michel has also some forecast about foreign policy: “Chinum pugna est, Tibetum sanctum est, proctectiorum, amen ; pakistanus attakum est et ereptor latrunculus iugolo, caido.”
The BJP will reaffirm its commitment to eastern states (he probably meant Arunachal Pradesh), stand-up to China’s bullying, and support Tibet to counteract Beijing which is propping-up Maoist Nepal. It will swiftly punish Pakistan next time it attacks India by proxy.
However, added Senor Nostradamus: “Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus comes, comitus amicus desertus est congressus victis .” The allies of the BJP will be deserting the boat as they think (the Congress) will win. But if the BJP stands true to the aspirations of its Hindu voters, it can come on its own at the Center.
Why? “Independantum Blancum copium est; necessarus changum indianus cumum facus est”… As India has heavily borrowed from the White Man (British?) at Independence, it will become necessary to “Indianise” the nation so that it may manifest again its true unique soul.
What is it? “Lex legis mutation, presidentum auctorita dato est, confuto desisto lex legis…” Introduce a common civil code, repeal false laws (article 370?), reform the Judiciary, change to a Parliamentary system, which will give true powers to the President who can nominate a Prime Minister from the majority.
Nostradamus goes on to explain why these changes are important: “Congressus niveus domina regnus, Indicus forcus inmicus est. Maurus, Christianus presentum est.” Under the reign of the White lady (Sonia Gandhi?) forces inimical to India have crept in. Madrasas have sprung up everywhere and so have churches that are converting by the thousands, Hindus gurus are jailed and mocked at…
Finally, Nostradamus has these concluding words: “Lentamentus, Indica Indus solvo eripio licens et quidnam et politus falsus, Dharmus popularus est. Srious Ravous Shankarous pranayamous, et novus spiritualitus ex religus planetum estblishum est”.
What was non-acceptable today will become politically correct tomorrow and Hindus will rule themselves again and reestablish Dharma in India.
“Scienta, garnutas, conscienta va do incedo totus el mundus rulus est, paxus, harmonius est.”
And the knowledge which was preserved in India for millenniums will spread in the world and bring peace, happiness and Harmony to All”.

Overall, as per Times Now/ORG survey, NDA to get 249 seats, UPA to 148 and others 146.
And as per the News 24-Chanakya survey, BJP will get 291 seats, NDA – 340, Congress -57, UPA – 70 and Others – 133.
ABP/AC Nielson survey gives 24 seats to BJP in Gujarat and Congress 2 seats.
Meanwhile, in West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee's TMC is set to win 24 seats, Left 12, Congress 5 and BJP 1: ABP/AC Nielson
As far as vote percentage is concerned, BJP polled 30%, Congress 21% and others polled 49%, as per India TV/C voter.
According to India Today/CICERO survey, NDA will get 261-283 seats, UPA will get 110-120 seats and others will get 150-162 seats.
In Karnataka, BJP to bag 18 seats, Congress 9, JD(S) 1 and others 0: Times Now-ORG survey.
On the other hand, as per CNN-IBN/CSDS survey, in Telangana TRS will win 10 seats, Congress 04 seats and BJP to win 03 seats.
Again according to Times Now-ORG survey, in Telangana, BJP-TDP to get 2 seats, Congress 3 to 5, TRS 8-10 seats and Left 2 seats.
In Seemandhra, BJP-TDP combine to get 15-20 seats and YSRCP to get 5-8 seats, as per Times Now survey.
In Bihar BJP and allies to get 28 seats, Congress and allies to get 10 seats and JD(U) to get 2 seats, as per IndiaTV-C voter survey. Bihar has 40 Lok Sabha seats.
India TV-C voter gives NDA 289 seats and Congress 101 seats overall. AAP will get 5 and others will get 148 seats.
NDA to get 272 to 283 seats, UPA to get 110 to 120 seats all over the country: Aaj Tak
As per Aaj Tak survey, BJP to get six seats in Delhi. In Delhi Times Now is giving 6 seats to BJP, 1 to Congress and 0 to AAP. Delhi has 7 Parliamentary seats.
BJP to get 46 seats in Uttar Pradesh, Congress 08, Samajwadi Party 12 and BSP 13 seats as per ABP News/AC Nielson survey. As per Times Now/ORG, in UP BJP+ will win 52 seats, Congress+ - 10, BSP – 6 and SP – 12. UP sends 80 seats to Parliament.
The Congress today said that it will not participate in debates on TV channels exit polls. Party spokesperson Shakeel Ahmad said that in keeping with their tradition, they won't participate in exit polls. He also said that the last time, exit polls had given the Congress 68 seats less than what they had actually got.
In 2009 Lok Sabha polls, Congress-led UPA had got 262 seats, whereas BJP-led NDA bagged 159 seats. LK Advani was BJP's PM candidate. He lost to Manmohan Singh who took oath as PM second time in a row.
PA Sangma meets Modi in Gandhinagar. Later talking to reporters he said that Modi will be the next PM of India.

Counting of votes in all the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies will be taken up on May 16. An average of 66 percent voters exercised their franchise in the last eight phases, as per estimates.
Overall, 9,667 candidates fought for the Lok Sabha seats in a poll that showed a high voter turnout among the 814 million electorate, the world's biggest.
The 2014 General Elections will be remembered as India's most bitterly fought. For the BJP and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the stakes are high. The BJP is hoping to come back to power after a decade banking on the huge anti-incumbency that the Congress is facing.
Most opinion polls put the BJP far ahead of the Congress and others although there is some lingering doubt if the BJP and its allies will bag the magic number of 272 to cross the half-way mark in the Lok Sabha.

சிறு வயதில் முந்திரிக்கொட்டை என்ற விருதுவுடன் வளைய வந்த நான், ஒரு நாள் ஒரு மந்திரவாதியிடம் மாட்டிக்கொண்டேன். அதாவது, அவர் என்னிடம் மாட்டிக்கொண்டார்.’வா இந்த பக்கம், கருப்பாயி புருஷா’ என்று அவர் கூவியவுடன், நான் போய் நின்றேன். மேலும், கீழும் பார்த்த அவர், துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். இந்த பயல் வவுறு பூரா காசு என்று முழக்கமிட்ட அவர், என் வயற்றில் ஒரு பால் குவளையை வைத்து அமுக்கினார். ‘கலீர்! கலீர்’ என்ற சத்தத்துடன், சில்லறை வந்து கொட்டியது. ‘என் தொப்பைக்காசு எனதே’ என்ற உரிமையுடன், அந்த குவியலை நான் அள்ளப்புகுந்த போது, என்னை தடுத்து விட்டார். அந்த கோபத்தில், நான் சொன்னேன், ‘என்ன மாஜிக் இது? கலீர் சத்தம் போட்டது நீ. காசு உன் ஜேபியிலிருந்து, குவளையில் விழுந்தது. உன் முதுகைக்காட்டி பார்வையாளர்களிடமிருந்து மறைத்தாய். நான் இந்த பக்கம். பார்த்து விட்டேனே’ என்று குட்டை போட்டு உடைத்தேன். ஒரே கரகோஷம். அவரும், ‘உன்னை கூப்பிட்டேன், பாரு. என் புத்தியை செருப்பால் அடிக்கவேண்டும்’ என்றார். நான் செருப்பு போடாத காலம். அவருடைய ஆவலை என்னால் பூர்த்தி செய்ய முடியவில்லை.
அந்த மாதிரி: தேர்தல் சில்லறை, பொழுதொரு வண்ணமாக கொட்டிக்கிணே இருந்துச்சு. மந்திரவாதியும் முடங்கி போய்விட்டார். என் கஜானா ஃபுல். ஆனால், நேரம் போதலையே. அதான் தாமஸமா வந்தேன். அதோடு, நான் கட்சி சார்பு இல்லாமல் எழுத விரும்பினேன். அதான், கொஞ்ச நாளா சைலண்ட், தாய்மார்களே!
(ஆமாம்! அண்ணாச்சிமார்கள் எல்லாம் எங்கிட்டு போய்ட்டாஹ?)
சில நிமிடங்கள் முன்னால் கொட்டிய சில்லறை: ஹிந்து இதழ் அப்டேட்:
அமேதி தொகுதிக்கு அமைதி வரப்போறதாம். நேரு வம்சாவளி டொக்கு. அண்ணனுக்கு பரிந்து பேச வந்த திருமதி. வதேரா செய்த எள்ளல் அவர் மீதே துள்ளிக்குதித்தது. மோடி முடி சூடிய வெண்கொடை சக்ராதிபதி போல், விஷ்ணு சக்கரம் போல் சுழன்றாடி வந்தார். இருந்தாலும் பாருங்கோ, அந்த ‘ஆம் ஆத்மி’ பாமரராட்சி கட்சியை சார்ந்த திரு. விஸ்வாஸ், விசுவாசமாகவே மக்களிடையே திகழ்ந்தார். அவரொரு கவிஞர், நகைச்சுவை நடிகர் என்று ஊடகங்கள் அவரை கண்டு கொள்ள வில்லை. ஆனால், நான்கு மாதங்கள் முன்னாலேயே, மூட்டையும் முடிச்சுமாக, குஞ்சும், குளவானுமாக, வந்து இறங்கிய அந்த நம்பிக்கை நக்ஷத்திரம், நடையும், ஓட்டமுமாக, மூலை முடுக்கெல்லாம் அலைந்து திரிந்து, வாக்குக்கேட்டார். நோ ஹெலிகாப்டர்! இந்து இதழின் வாசகம்: “...‘மக்கள் ‘ என்றா சொல்லை புரிந்து கொண்டு, அதை மதித்த ஒரே அரசியல் வாதி, திரு. விஸ்வாஸ்.”
இன்று மக்கள் தீர்ப்பு. இதோ சில நாட்களில் அது பகிங்கரமாகி விடும்.

யான் வாழ்ந்த சமுதாயத்தின் வரவு செலவு, இன்றைய இளைய தலைமுறையின் நோக்கில், வரவு நாலணா;செலவு பதினாலணா. ‘வரவு எட்டணா;செலவு பத்தணா.’ என்ற மாயை மேல்தட்டு மக்களால் எமக்கு நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டது. எட்டுக்கும் பத்துக்கும் நடுவில் ஒரு ஸ்பார்க். அவ்ளோ தான். நாலுக்கும் பதினாலாக்கும் நடுவில் இருப்பதோ மின்வெட்டு; ஆனாலும், சமாராதனைகளும், ததியாராதனைகளும் அடிக்கடி பசிப்பிணியை தணிக்கும். சுழற்சி முறையில் எல்லாரும் செய்வதால், அநாவசிய தாக்ஷிண்ய பிரச்னை இல்லை. அடுத்தாத்து சுந்தரேஸ்வரய்யர் வக்கீல் மாமா அடிக்கடி சமாராதனை அன்னதானம் அளிப்பார். ஃபேஸ்புக் மாதிரி நான் அவரது உண்மை பெயரை கூறுவதின் காரணம், ஜானகிராமன் போன்ற அவருடைய குடும்பத்தினர் பார்த்து மகிழ்வார்களோ என்ற நப்பாசை.

பால பருவத்தில் சோற்றுக்கு பஞ்சமில்லை. கஞ்சி காய்ச்சல் வந்தால் தான்.
யான் வாழ்ந்த சமுதாயத்தின் வரவு செலவு, இன்றைய இளைய தலைமுறையின் நோக்கில், வரவு நாலணா;செலவு பதினாலணா. ‘வரவு எட்டணா;செலவு பத்தணா.’ என்ற மாயை மேல்தட்டு மக்களால் எமக்கு நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டது. எட்டுக்கும் பத்துக்கும் நடுவில் ஒரு ஸ்பார்க். அவ்ளோ தான். நாலுக்கும் பதினாலாக்கும் நடுவில் இருப்பதோ மின்வெட்டு; ஆனாலும், சமாராதனைகளும், ததியாராதனைகளும் அடிக்கடி பசிப்பிணியை தணிக்கும். சுழற்சி முறையில் எல்லாரும் செய்வதால், அநாவசிய தாக்ஷிண்ய பிரச்னை இல்லை. அடுத்தாத்து சுந்தரேஸ்வரய்யர் வக்கீல் மாமா அடிக்கடி சமாராதனை அன்னதானம் அளிப்பார். ஃபேஸ்புக் மாதிரி நான் அவரது உண்மை பெயரை கூறுவதின் காரணம், ஜானகிராமன் போன்ற அவருடைய குடும்பத்தினர் பார்த்து மகிழ்வார்களோ என்ற நப்பாசை.
அரியக்குடியில் பகல்பத்து, ராப்பத்து உத்ஸவங்களுக்காக, அங்கே டேரா போட்டு, விமரிசையாக திருவேங்கடத்தானுக்கு பக்திமாலை சூட்டும் என் தாத்தாவின் உத்தரவுப்படி கோட்டையடுப்பு அணைக்கப்படமாட்டாது. தினந்தோறும் ததியாராதனை தான். ‘ததியாராதனை’ என்பது ‘சமாராதனைக்கு’ வைணவ பரிபாஷை; ‘ததியாரதனை’ க்கு ஸ்மார்த்தாள் பரிபாஷை ‘சமாராதனை’. ‘விருந்தோம்புதல்’ தனித்தமிழ். நாங்கள் மூன்றுக்கும் தயார்.
பேராரூணி தாத்தா முதல், வருகை புரியும் பெரியவர்கள், ‘அம்மா! ஒரு சொம்புலெ வென்னீர் தீர்த்தம் கொண்டு வா’ என்று கனிவுடன் கேட்பார்கள். வெள்ளிச்சொம்பில் தான் அந்த உபசரணை என்பது எழுதப்படாத விதி. கோயிலில் தாயாருக்கு புடவை சாத்திறா என்று எல்லா பொண்டுகளும் கோயிலுக்கு போன சமயம் பார்த்து, பன்னிரண்டு திருமண் காப்பு துலங்க, சேப்பு பட்டு சால்வை தூக்கி அடிக்க, தோடுடைய செவியன் மாதிரி, ஏழு கல் பெல்ஜியம் ப்ளூ ஜாகர் டயமண்ட் கடுக்கன்கள் டால் அடிக்க, ஒரு வைணவ சான்றோன் வந்து ( அவர் ஆண்டவன் ஆசிரமத்தில் பெரிய புள்ளியாம், அட்வகேட்டாம்.) ‘பயலே! ஒரு சொம்புலெ வென்னீர் தீர்த்தம் கொண்டு வா.’ என்றார். அவர் கேட்டவிதம் எனக்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை. ஆனால், தாத்தாவின் நற்பெயரை கெடுக்க மனமில்லை. திருமப்பள்ளிக்கு (அதான் திருமடப்பள்ளி -சோற்றுக்கடை) விரைந்தேன். அப்பாத்துரையிடம், சீக்கிரம் ஒரு வெள்ளிச்சொம்பிலெ வென்னீர் கொடு.’ என்றேன். நான் போட்டுக்கொண்டு போய் கொடுக்கிறேன். நீ உன் வேலையை பாரு.’ என்று அதட்டினான். பல வருஷங்களுக்கு பிறகு தான் அப்பாத்துரை அம்மாவுக்கு அத்தை மூலம் பரிசம் போட்டவர் என்று அறிந்தேன். அதனால் ‘அதட்டினார்’. போறாத காலம் பால் பொங்க ஆரம்பித்தது. அவருடைய கவனம் சிதறியது. நானும் விரைந்து ஒரு வெள்ளிச்சொம்பு கொதி நீரை, ராஜாஜி மாதிரி, ஒரு துண்டால் அரவணைத்து எடுத்துச்சென்றேன். ‘ப்ளூ ஜாகர்’ ஒரு விழுங்கில் வீழ்ந்தார். அலறினார். கொப்பளித்தார். விழுந்து புரண்டார். கன்னாபின்னா என்று வைதார். அவருக்கு தெரியாது, நான் இரெகுநாத தாத்தாச்சாரியாரின் பேரன் என்று. என்னை அடிக்க அவர் ஓங்கின கை, நட்டாற்று குதிரையை போல, அந்தரத்தில் நின்றது. ஏனென்றால், என் தாத்தா ரெளத்ராபிஷேகராக, அவரை சொல்லால் தாக்கினார்.அப்பாத்துரைக்கு நல்ல டோஸ் கிடைத்தது. ப்ரைவேட்டாக, வஞ்சம் தீர்த்துக்கொள்ளும் முன் அவர் சொன்னார், ‘மண்டுப்பயலே! வென்னீர் என்றால் கும்போணம் டிக்ரீ காப்பி. அது பரிபாஷை. காப்பின்னு கேட்டா அபசாரம். நீயெல்லாம் என்ன படிச்சு உருப்படுவையோ!’ என்று. ‘நீ படிக்காதவன்’ என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு, கோயிலில் விஸ்வரூப தரிசனத்துக்கு தேசாந்திரிகளுக்கு, தாத்தா உபயமாக, கொடுக்கப்படும் தடிமன் தோசை வாங்கிக்கொள்ள போய்விட்டேன். அப்போது வயது 5/6/7. மலரும் நினைவுகள்.
35 வருடங்களுக்கு பிறகு ரயில்வே உத்தியோகம். தனி சொகுசு வண்டி. ஒரு ஸ்டேஷனில் யதேச்சையாக பார்த்த அப்பாத்துரை வந்து சில மணி நேரம் அரட்டை அடித்தபோது, வென்னீர் கதையை வஸந்தாவிடம் போட்டுக்கொடுத்து விட்டு ‘சிவனே’ (ஐ மீன்: ‘கோவிந்தா’) என்று போய்விட்டார். எங்கேயே ஆரம்பிச்சு எங்கேயோ போகிறேன். சுக்கானை திருப்பியாச்சு.
வக்கீல் மாமா சமாராதனையில் ஒரு ஸெளகர்யம். நாங்களே வாலண்டியர் என்பதால், போகச்சே வரச்சே… . தவிர, லட்டு, அப்பளம், தொன்னை பாயசம் எல்லாம் டபிள் டோஸ் பரிமாறப்படும், அண்ணன் தம்பி உபயமாக. அதில் முதல் செட்டு சாப்பிட; செகண்ட் செட், அனுமதிக்கப்படாத ஆருயிர் நண்பன் அப்துலுடன், குளக்கரையில். சிலசமயங்களில் ஜமா கூட சேரும்.
கமிங்க் டு தெ பாயிண்ட்: சோற்றை போடமாட்டார்கள். அவசரம். வெள்ளி முறத்தால் தள்ளுவார்கள். மிச்சம் வச்சா கஷ்டம். ஏன்னா, சமாராதனை விதிப்படி எச்சில் இலைகளை வக்கீலாத்து மாமி (அவள் தான் எடுக்கணும்.) எடுப்பதற்கு முன்னால், வக்கீல் மாமா, கரம் குவித்து, விருந்தினர்களை தொழுது (பொதுவாக), இலைகள் மீது விழுந்து புரண்டு அங்கப்பிரதக்ஷிணம் செய்வார். பிறகு ஸ்நானம் செய்து விட்டு, பூஜை செய்வார். அதனால் மிச்சம் வைக்காமல் சாப்பிடுவது ஒரு பண்பு. புடைத்த வவுறு. வயத்து வலி. பித்தம். மதியம் நாலு மணி சுமார் ஜுரம் அடிக்கும் லேசா என்று பாட்டி டயக்னைஸ் செய்து, ராத்திரி கஞ்சித்தண்ணி உபவாசம். கண்ட கண்ட தண்ணியா. அப்பெல்லாம் இந்த ஃபில்டர், கில்டர் எல்லாம் கிடையாது. கஞ்சியோ? தண்ணீரோ, கண் மஞ்சளா இருக்கே, குழந்தைக்கு என்பாள் பாட்டி. டயக்னாசிஸ்: காமாலை. மறு நாள் ஆஞ்சனேய சர்மா வந்து, மந்திரித்து, ஊசியால் காமாலையை தண்ணீரில் இறக்குவார். அடடா! வைகாசி பிறக்கப்போறது. அடுத்த சமாராதனை வர்ரதே.

This is the Seventh instalment of a new series on creative writing of recent origin in Tamil.
It is wise to do a brief Retrospective for absorbing the message from Literary passages, particularly when Divinity is perceived. I present a string of such gems from Asia Jothi on episodes already covered.
இலக்கிய சோலைகளின் அழகை அனுபவிக்க, திரும்பி, திரும்பி பார்க்க வேண்டும். தெய்வீக மணம் வீசும் இலக்கியங்களை மனனம் செய்வது சாலத்தகும். கவிமணி அவர்களின் ஆசியஜோதியிலிருந்து கோர்த்த ஒரு சொல் மாலை. அது எனக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட வரமாகக் கருதுகிறேன்.

‘வையகத்தில் உயிர்கள்மிக வாடக் கண்ட (இறைவன்)... இன்னும் ஓர்கால்மனிதஉடல் தாங்கமனத்து ஆசை கொண்டு... சாக்கியர்தம் மன்ன னுக்கு
