क्षणश: कणश्चैव विद्याम् अर्थं च साधयेत् |
क्षणे नष्टे कुतो विद्या , कणे नष्टे कुतो धनम् ||
Learning and earning do not come easy for the lazy. One has to be alert all the time, as we learn something new, every nanosecond. Similiarly, you just cannot afford to waste even something too tiny. சிறுதுரும்பும் பல்குத்த உதவும்.
Literally translated, the above Subhashitham means,
“Every moment one should learn, from every bit one should earn. If you waste a second (kshan) you can't get knowledge (vidya) and if you waste a bit (kan) u can't get money (artham)”.
Neither you can regain the time lost nor can you retrieve the waste that had been cast away.
