We had a glimpse of the Lord God’s determination to come down to Mother Earth to rescue Mankind from the self-created Downfall, the Divine whisper of the Coming of the Lord, in Kavimani’s words. I recite snatches of Sir Edwin Arnold’s epic poem for the very same glad tidings conveyed in tranquil poetic language by a Westerner as early ad 1879.
Hereafter, we shall go at a faster pace, with occasional glimpses at both the epics, as we have to cover an extensive ground. Please bear with me. Both the epic poems are available over the Internet and I shall, with humility, pass on the links, who desire the same.

As ’t were high noon; down to the farthest hells
Passed the Queen’s joy, as when warm sunshine thrills Wood-glooms to gold, and into all the deeps
A tender whisper pierced.
“Oh ye,” it said,
“The dead that are to live, the live who die,
Uprise, and hear, and hope! Buddha is come!”
… And when the morning dawned, and this was told,
The grey dream-readers said
“The dream is good!
The Crab is in conjunction with the Sun;
The Queen shall bear a boy, a holy child
Of wondrous wisdom, profiting all flesh,
Who shall deliver men from ignorance,
Or rule the world, if he will deign to rule.”…
i.e. he will either become a Buddha or an Universal Monarch.
நீங்கள் மஹாவிஷ்ணுவின் பத்து அவதாரங்களையும், ஹிந்து சனாதனமதம் சார்ந்த புராணங்களில் தெய்வத்தின் வருகை பற்றிய செய்திகளை படித்தாலும், ஏசு பிரான் மாட்டுத்தொழுவத்தில் immaculate conception அவதாரத்தை நோக்கினாலும், கிழக்கே இருந்து சான்றோர்கள் வந்து குழந்தை ஏசுவை தொழுததை படித்தாலும், நபிகள் நாயகத்துக்கு அருளப்பட்ட இறையருளை உணர்ந்தாலும், புத்தரின் அவதாரம் பற்றி ஐயா கவிமணி அவர்களின் ஆசிய ஜோதி படித்தாலும்,
இறைவன் அங்கு வந்து நிற்பான் என்பதில் ஐயமில்லை.
அதன் பொருட்டு, இப்போது சங்கத்தமிழ் பரிபாடலின் ஒரு செய்யுளுக்குப் போகிறோம். பொருள் என்ன? Attributes of the Almighty God.
தீயுனுள் தெறல்நீ பூவினுள் நாற்றம் நீ
கல்லினுள் மணியும்நீ சொல்லினுள் வாய்மைநீ
அறத்தினுள் அன்புநீ மறத்தினுள் மைந்துநீ
வேதத்து மறைநீ பூதத்து முதலும் நீ
வெஞ்சுடர் ஒளியும்நீ திங்களுள் அளியும் நீஅனைத்தும் நீ அனைத்தின் உட்பொருளும் நீ (பரி.3: 63-68)
ஆங்கிலத்தில் சொன்னால்: You are the Almighty, You are Omniscient, You are Omnipotent.
For emphasis, his OmniPresence was extolled in exquisite poetry.
It comes as no surprise that Sir Edwin and Kavi mani went into raptures about Buddha’s Incarnation.
